It was a restless night for I did not sleep well. I did not want to get up, I was very nauseus. I had a hot bath, getting in and out of the tub was tough. I have lost my range of motion on my right arm and I can`t put weight on the arm. I had to shave with my left hand for the first time. This is all part of the journey. I went back to bed, not looking forward to unpacking the duffle bag and packing the panniers. Uncle Sam made breakfast and I did not eat much and I went back to bed. Finally feeling better I got up and started packing. Uncle Sam couldn`t believe I was able to pack everything from duffle bag to the panniers. Sam showed me how to get on HWY. 7, took some pictures and we said our goodbyes. Thanks Uncle Sam for everything. I asked Uncle Sam for his phone number just in case.
It is a beautiful morning and I left at 8:30am. lots of hills and the water is right there. I stopped for a swim and that is when I broke my sunglasses and haven`t yet replaced them. My plan is to eat and camp in Port Dufferin just like I did on the east ride in 09. I get to Port Dufferin around 5pm and to my surprise the restaurant is now a house. AAAH. So now I`m thinking ride 150 kms. find a nice place and camp. Then I saw a sign Liscombe Lodge 30 kms. That will take me to roughly 162kms. and went for it. I made the right decision. I got there at 7pm, had a great dinner and I asked if I could pitch my tent. Karen the G.M. said no but could pitch the tent at her house just down the street. Life is good. I was able to blog Flight to Dartmouth but it was getting dark and I had to setup the tent so I couldn`t blog Day 1. Karen`s house is surrounded by trees and the mosquitoes were terrible.
Today`s ride- 163 kms
I am now having breakfast in Sherbrooke.
